KN2C MAV Team IranOpen 2016 First place
11th robotic competition of IranOpen was held on 6 to 8 April 2016.
Well known along with beginner robotic teams from different countries compete in various robotic leagues in this international competition which is held annually in Iran.
One of such leagues is about aerial vehicles which are to overcome several tasks whether manually or automatically called “IranOpenUAV”.
By flying fully autonomous in the indoor competition, KN2C managed to achieve the First place.
2 of the algorithms which were used are
– Optical Flow: For Velocity and Pose Control
– ORB: For Accurate Pose Estimation/Calculation by Using a Normal Camera
